J.Balvin‘s new album, Colores, takes its title very literally: the entire album is comprised of single-named tracks like “Azul” (“Blue”), “Blanco” (“White”) and “Arcoíris” (“Rainbow”). “Amarillo,” or “Yellow,” is one of the album’s key singles, performed live by Balvin in a new clip exclusive to Vevo.
Utilizing the hue as a metaphor for happiness, the “Amarillo” video is brought to life by Rio-based Penique Productions, which draped an entire Miami mansion in tonal yellow. Balvin sported a matching outfit, including shades, to perform the track live, complementing the bouncy DJ Snake and Afro Bros production with effortless, laid-back delivery. The color-saturated approach is nothing new for J.Balvin, regularly seen sporting brightly-colored hair dye and matching clothes, even informing his forthcoming Air Jordan 1 collaboration.
